Our Mission & Vision
The mission of Hospice of Chesterfield County is to provide quality, compassionate health care and support services for eligible terminally ill persons and their families in Chesterfield & Marlboro counties, enabling them to experience death with grace and dignity.
Our History
Birthed by area churches with support from the local community, Hospice of Chesterfield County has been providing comprehensive compassionate care and support services for those in the final stages of life since 1993. When a cure is no longer available, the specialized care team at Hospice of Chesterfield County provides comfort measures that allow patients to enjoy their lives to the fullest. Working closely with the patient’s personal physician, our hospice medical director, registered nurses, medical social workers, grief counselors, pharmacists, clergy, and specially trained volunteers, create an individualized plan of care.
How We Support The Community
At Hospice of Chesterfield County, we believe in supporting the merchants and businesses in our local communities. Hospice purchases all medications, office supplies, and durable medical equipment (DME) from Chesterfield and Marlboro county businesses. Our support of the local economy is also indicated through our memberships in the Cheraw, Chesterfield, and Pageland chambers of commerce, and the Cheraw Merchants Association.
